"Have fun" is one of the proposed stated values of our PogoTribe. Please use this wiki page to flesh out what exactly this means to us. The end goal is to have a 2-3 paragraph summary of each of our stated values.
Ideas
- Entertainment comes in all sorts of different forms and mediums. Whether it be science, literature, art, theater, sports, comedy, games, music, or perhaps just creating and/or watching personal videos on YouTube, we are all entertained by something. However we are all entertained by these things to varying extents, as we are all different from one another. So first let's talk about what it means to entertain others.
Entertaining others can mean two rather different (yet congruous) things.
1. The first way by which one might entertain someone, is by the provision of amusement. As one can imagine, there are innumerable methods by which amusement may be achieved (as listed above). In our PogoTribe we encourage the use of all forms of respectful (though still often silly) amusement. "i am gorilla dan brown, gorilla dan brown, gorilla dan brown...R.I.P Dan's Beard"
2. In addition, another way that one can entertain his or her peers is by displaying hospitality. By hospitality, we mean to nurture, spread and support any and all efforts of entertainment, just the way PogoTribe is treating Dan Brown's YouTube videos currently.
Both of these definitions of entertaining others are very important to our PogoTribe. Entertain, amuse, support, spread and nurture :) see the pattern? =P
Sub-note: Our efforts to provide entertainment to our peers are DEFINITELY NOT INTERNET EXCLUSIVE, and the development of full-blown friendships are completely encouraged! (both within and without the PogoTribe). However, there ARE problems that you cannot solve by working locally: world/international problems. We attempt to make sure that global "hot-button" issues aren't just swept under the rug. We as a tribe have the power of creating top-of-mind recall with our individual entertainment avenues, and that's what we should and will be doing!
Through the vehicle of the internet PogoTribe will be able to accomplish three great objectives: 1. Entertain the whole world. (And that is a pretty big audience.)
2. Cultivate real relationships and strengthen the bond of humanity, which leads to more openness and a friendly environment to share ideas productively.
3. Make sure, via our entertainment, that the world knows and remains aware of the crises and humanitarian efforts that people seem to so regularly slip the minds of the majority, sometimes displaying aid to these crises.
Entertainment and amusement cannot be born if the producer is not entertained/amused in the first place. This aspect of our prescribed creed is perhaps the more difficult of the two parts. Each member of our PogoTribe is different, hence each person will be entertained by different things to different degrees. Luckily PogoTribe is massive! So, our advice is that you have fun, do what you enjoy, and share with your fellow tribesmen whatever it is that entertains you! Maybe they enjoy some of the same things as you!
Have fun and love life! It's a contagious way of living, and soon you'll see your joy rubbing off on those around you. When the joy rubs around,others around you will entrtain themselfs through entertaining others! Therefore, if good begets good, so, then, must awesome beget awesome.Take a step (and a chance) and put yourself out there to be seen and heard, and remember to see and hear what others have to say.

What we had established on the forum:
Until the people of the world realize how amazing they really are, the world will not become a better place. Everyone is truly awesome, just as life alone is inherently awesome! One of the most important things that a PogoTribe member can do is accept the fact that he or she is indeed awesome. But this truth is only the beginning, we (as individuals and as a tribe) must work to bring out the awesomeness in not only ourselves, but also in others.
