Grow out
From Wiki
"Grow out" is one of the proposed stated values of our PogoTribe. Please use this wiki page to flesh out what exactly this means to us. The end goal is to have a 2-3 paragraph summary of each of our stated values.
Ideas
Help those who need help.
Lend a helping hand whenever and wherever one is needed.
I value contact with people who are interested in being positive and working together to make a difference. I want to have time with these people to imagine, share and put into words what it would be like if the 'impossible' were to exist in our lives. And then I want to talk about the events that might lead up to the 'impossible'. And then I want to make goals and hold each other reliable for our commitments that directly reflect these events. We are all across the world. We can have completely different goals. And we can support each other in our missions. That's why I am reaching out to you.
Reaching out should mean more than just reaching out to those who need help. Reaching out is being inclusive, to pull together, to have unity. Reaching out is just sharing with other people.
The idea of everybody reaching out to each other should mean that nobody in a community should ever feel alone. Each and every person should be able to talk to at least one other person, preferably three. The first goal to reach in order for everybody to reach out to each other should be for everybody to have at least three best friends. Four people are better then one. One person is alone, and there should not be any lonely people.
Reaching out means that we are one and a whole as a tribe. No one should ever feel alone as we shall embrace each other with open arms and include them in whatever we wish to accomplish. Without this we cannot truly be a tribe.
We should all remember that the only way to change the world is to help each other. The point of a tribe is to help each other to be their best. Pogotribe is ultimately trying to achieve the highest possible thinking level, which is the mindset that you are awesome, but so am I. This cannot be done alone.
Another way to think of it is this, we need to help and trust our battle buddies. A platoon of soldiers needs to rely on their fellow soldiers in order to survive. This means, (1) not holding back when he/she sees a battle buddy in need, and (2) not hesitating to ask a battle buddy for help when it's needed. Then the question arises, "Who is my battle buddy?" The answer is simple. It's the same as when Jesus said to "love thy neighbor as thyself." EVERYONE is your battle buddy. ---
(proposed) Pogotribe Creed on Outreach
I understand that my world needs me as much as I need my world. This Earth is ours: brother and sister; gay and straight; black and white; religious, agnostic, or atheist. It is my job to pull the world together and rally for those who have not the ability to rally for themselves. It is my job to pull my brothers together and encourage them to pull the world together, and rally for those who have not the ability to rally for themselves. It is my job to start the chain reaction of awesomeness which can then surround the world.
